THE apple has notified the owner of the withdrawal iPhone 11 last week. This program is for iPhone XR successors that are manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020, who are having problems responding to on-screen touch.
iPhone 11: Apple announces recall because of screen issue
“Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 11 screens may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. They announced that the affected devices were manufactured from November 2019 to May 2020. Find out how to check if your iPhone 11 is suitable for the program:
- On the iPhone, open iOS “Settings”;
- Then go to “General” and then enter “About” to see the serial number of the mobile phone;
- Using your browser, go to Apple’s recall page for iPhone 11 screen issues: support.apple.com;
- In the text box that says “Serial number”, enter the serial number;
- Click “Submit” to check.
If the device is suitable, users will have to go to the Apple Store, an authorized service center or contact Apple support for free repair. However, the company said that cell phones with defects will be evaluated prior to conversion to verify program eligibility.
Apple also offers other instructions for users, such as how to back up the phone via iCloud or computer before sending it to support. Additionally, the manufacturer states that “it may limit or limit repairs to the country or region of original purchase” and the global program does not extend the warranty on the phone.
“If your iPhone 11 has any damage that makes the repair impossible to complete, such as a cracked screen, this issue will need to be resolved before servicing,” they explained. “In some cases, there may be costs associated with additional repairs.”
