Videoconferencing application zoom continue to expand its resources to maintain the success achieved in the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, in addition to organizing meetings or Webinars and streaming live video on the desktop, users can also stream on YouTube via the Android app.
Live streaming is available for PC and Mac, and can be used on Android phones from version 220.127.116.114. According to Zoom, it’s available to users with Professional, Corporate, Education or Business accounts.
How to enable the Zoom app for life on YouTube
The smartphone search process promises to be simpler: just go to the bottom menu during the meeting and hit the “Stream to YouTube” option. However, you need to do some settings for the option to appear.
First, before broadcasting, you must have a channel that is eligible and ready to go live on YouTube. You must then enable YouTube live streams in your Zoom account, following the steps below:
- Visit the website zoom.us and log in to your account.
- Click “Manage Account” and go to “Account Settings”
- Turn on “Allow live streaming” in “In Meeting (advanced)” and turn on YouTube.
After these settings, you should be able to see the option to stream to YouTube on Android.
